Project: LG Dual Inverter Installation in Cessange (Kohlenberg)
Early June, we worked on rue Kohlenberg in Cessange (1870 Luxembourg) installing a mono-split LG Dual Inverter in the main bedroom of an apartment. Here's how it went, with the technical choices we made on-site.
The Brief: Cool the Bedroom, Use the Balcony
The clients in Cessange wanted a discreet solution to cool their bedroom in summer and add a touch of heating in the shoulder seasons. The room is about 18 m², south-facing — so it heats up fast as soon as the sun hits. The ceiling fan was no longer enough.
Good news: a balcony adjacent to the bedroom, perfect for the outdoor unit — no façade work, no condominium application needed.
The Equipment: LG Dual Inverter 2.5 kW
For a well-insulated 18 m² bedroom, we went with an LG Dual Inverter 9,000 BTU (2.5 kW). Ideal power: neither undersized nor oversized (an oversized unit short-cycles, consumes more, lasts less).

- Indoor unit: 19 dB in night mode, integrated Wi-Fi LG ThinQ
- Outdoor unit: compact, mounted on anti-vibration pads
- Refrigerant lines: 4 metres, discreet routing along the wall
On-Site Work
Clean installation: indoor unit centred above the bed, drainage by gravity to the balcony, vacuum + nitrogen pressure test before commissioning. Total time: half a day, room operational the same evening.
Total all-in: €1,890 (unit + installation + commissioning + Wi-Fi setup).
