Luxembourg Water and Limescale
Water in much of Luxembourg is hard. Scale settles on the heating element, insulates it, and forces it to run hotter for longer — which costs electricity and shortens the life of the appliance. Descaling and replacing the sacrificial anode during a service is routine maintenance, not an upsell. Where scaling is severe and recurring, a water softener is the structural answer.
Choosing the Replacement Size
Sizing by household habits matters more than by square metres: number of people, showers versus baths, and whether hot water is used at the same time in two bathrooms. An oversized tank wastes standby energy every day; an undersized one guarantees the cold-shower argument every morning. We recommend a capacity based on your actual usage and the space available.
Installation Day
The old unit is isolated, drained and removed, brackets and supports are checked for the new weight, the safety group and expansion arrangement are renewed where required, and the installation is pressure-tested and commissioned before we leave. Old appliances are taken away for disposal.
