A reversible air-to-air system is a heat pump: in summer it moves heat out of your home, in winter it moves heat in. For apartments and well-insulated houses in Luxembourg it is often the simplest way to add efficient heating without touching the existing water-based system.
How It Works in Winter
Even in cold weather, outdoor air contains usable energy. The unit extracts it and releases it indoors, delivering several units of heat per unit of electricity consumed. Efficiency falls as it gets colder, which is why sizing for the coldest weeks — not the average — is what makes the difference between comfort and disappointment. For rooms used daily, this is usually the cheapest heat available once installed.

Air-to-Air vs Air-to-Water
Air-to-air delivers heat directly into rooms and doubles as cooling. Air-to-water feeds radiators or underfloor heating and can produce domestic hot water, but is a much larger project. We install and service air-to-air systems. If your situation genuinely calls for air-to-water, we say so instead of pretending one solution fits everything.
Subsidies and Servicing
