"How much to unblock a drain?" is a fair question with an honest answer: it depends on what is blocked, how far in it sits, and how we can reach it. Rather than publish a number that changes on site, here is exactly what drives the price — and how we quote before starting.
What Changes the Price
• Access — a cleanout in the cellar is quick; a blockage only reachable through a roof vent or a buried inspection chamber is not • Method — hand rodding, a drum machine or high-pressure jetting • Distance — a sink trap versus twenty metres of buried lateral • Cause — soft blockage, hardened grease, roots or a collapsed pipe • Time — nights, Sundays and public holidays cost more, in every trade • Extras — camera inspection, or a repair once the cause is visible
How We Quote
On the phone we ask what is blocked, whether one or several fittings are affected, and what access exists. That is normally enough for a realistic range. On site, before any work starts, you get a clear price for the intervention. If we discover the blockage is a structural defect rather than a blockage, we stop, show you, and quote the repair separately. You are never billed for work you did not agree to.
Cheap Now, Expensive Later
Repeatedly clearing the same pipe is more expensive than finding out why it keeps blocking. Where a blockage returns, a camera inspection usually pays for itself in one visit — a sagging section or a broken joint will not stop failing on its own.

For rental properties and shared buildings we provide a written report of what was found and done, which is what you need for the owner, the syndic or an insurer. Restaurants and commercial kitchens are better served by a scheduled jetting interval than by emergency call-outs during service.
