Project: LG Dual Inverter Installation in Niederkorn (Differdange)

Early June, we worked in Niederkorn (commune of Differdange) installing a mono-split LG Dual Inverter on a single-family house. Here's the field report, in photos, with the technical choices we made on-site.
The Brief: Cool an Upstairs Room
Clients wanted an efficient solution to cool an upstairs room of their house in Niederkorn. West-facing façade in full afternoon sun, wooden windows — in summer the room got stifling fast.
We chose façade mounting with a wall-bracketed outdoor unit, lines run up in white PVC trunking painted to match the façade, all neatly fixed between the two windows.

The Equipment: LG Dual Inverter
For a ~20 m² well-exposed room, we went with an LG Dual Inverter — a classic choice: quiet, economical, reliable.
- Model: LG Dual Inverter — R32 refrigerant, high SEER, A++ class
- Indoor unit: silent, integrated Wi-Fi LG ThinQ
- Outdoor unit: mounted on reinforced wall brackets on the façade
- Refrigerant lines: discreet PVC trunking, clean vertical routing
- Condensate drainage: gravity to the outside
The Process
A clean installation is 80% preparation, 20% mounting. The Niederkorn job:
- On-site survey + photo to validate equipment and routing
- Brackets fixed on reinforced façade anchors
- Core drilling (Ø 65 mm) and weatherproof sealing
- Refrigerant lines laid in painted PVC trunking
- Vacuum + nitrogen pressure test (gas-tightness)
- Commissioning + Wi-Fi LG ThinQ setup + client handover
Total time: one day. All-in price: €1,950.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can AC be installed on a façade in Luxembourg?
Yes, with reinforced brackets and weatherproof core drilling. In some communes a façade declaration may be needed — we check this during the free survey.
Does PVC trunking on the façade look bad?
Not when it's done right. We use the same colour as the façade (or paint it to match) and run it in straight lines between architectural features so it stays discreet.
How long does an LG Dual Inverter last in Luxembourg?
With annual maintenance, an LG Dual Inverter typically lasts 12–15 years. Without maintenance, expect 7–8 years before major issues.
